The Grass Is Greenest Only Where It Has Been Watered

Mary is in church again today looking as gorgeous as ever; she wears a  6 inch Louboutin heels like they don’t hurt her feet at all, her walk exudes confidence. She walked past Mika and approached Ruth with a friendly smile.

”Am I that invisible? Or is it because i don’t  dress as good as she does”. Mika begins to imagine how much different her life might be if only she had a bit of what Mary had.

Mika! Mika! Snap out of it, Jenny calls, praise and worship starts in a few seconds and you are leading the team remember? Mika makes her way quickly onto the stage but before she starts, she takes a quick moment to talk to God about her feelings towards Mary,   “God, I wish I had all that Mary had, why wouldn’t you bless me like you do Mary? I want to look and feel as beautiful as she does. God please help me understand, I don’t like the way I feel”

Mary is sitting  in the front row staring at Mika in utmost disbelief, she looks at Mika from head to toe and certainly does not approve of her simple dress and her shoes but she loves her voice and for that she wants to be her.  She says prayer,  “Lord, why do you choose to bless this simple girl over me, I should be up on that stage singing and looking beautiful. I wish I had a voice like that and I could sing your praises forever,  can I have a voice just like Mika’s?”

Both Mika and Mary continue to dream and wish they have each other’s lives.

Your grass might have grown a bit unruly, might need to be pruned here and there and watered for a better appearance but you need to stick with it and work at it because the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, its only greener where it is watered.
