Not all honeymoons last forever!

In fact, not all marriages last forever!

Marriages are supposed to be forever, right?

So why do so many marriages fail?

Why does the honeymoon end?

And how do you know the honeymoon is slowly ebbing away?

Let’s find out the top 20 ways to know if your honeymoon is over

1. You warm yourself with a blanket with your husband lying right next to you
2. The average duration of a kiss is a fraction of a second
3. You watched TV the whole evening without saying a word to each other
4. He hides himself behind the newspaper (or in front of his laptop) to avoid talking to you
5. He notices your new hairstyle 3 weeks after you made it
6. ‘Your side’ and ‘my side’ of the bed is very well respected
7. He leaves for work without so much as a peck or a physical embrace of any kind.
8. She realizes that more than a month has gone by without having to make excuses not to have sex…because has stopped asking
9. You go a whole day without thinking about him
10. You just stop trying to make the relationship work
11. The last time you heard’ I love you’ was six months ago
12. Cuddle time is a faint memory
13. You no longer bother with Valentine’s Day
14. The little phone calls at work have stopped
15. You are not excited at the chance to spend one on one time with each other
16. He prioritizes his favorite TV programs over you
17. You no longer care about your appearance
18. He brushes you off in front of his friends
19. Your wedding anniversary gives you a heart ache rather than joy
20. You become indifferent and you just stop caring

As I read through this list, I was a little bit saddened.

Why did I make this list?

It’s a wakeup call….for all of us.

Do you recognize your relationship in at least 10 of the points listed above? Is your honeymoon over?

It doesn’t have to be. You can still turn things around. If you want, you can still fight for your marriage and your relationship

I want you to do something today.

Get a piece of paper and list all the things you love(d) about your spouse.

C’mon, there must be a few things that got you attracted to him/her in the first place

Put this list up somewhere you can see it regularly.

I think it would help remind you why you fell in love with him/her in the first place….and then you can start working on reviving your love.

And if all fails……..don’t forget to pray

If you have any ideas on how to re-ignite the honeymoon, please share with us.

It would be a great help for some of us.

I will be doing a post soon on how to revive a failing marriage. Don’t miss it

Don’t forget to share
