Why You Should See Wana Udobang’s New Series ‘Room 313’

Naija’s favourite OAP Wana ‘Ms Wana Wana’ Udobong has finally released her debut short series, Room 313. The series reveals personal traumas that people live with everyday and how they struggle to cope with it.

Wana was excited to start this project with the hope that she shows how people can deal with such traumas,

“For sometime now, I have been working on an experimental series of sorts called Room 313. I had always wondered, if we got a chance to speak with someone about our personal trauma, what would they say? You know it is almost engrained in our DNA to be strong people and i have often felt that a lot of us are a walking and ticking PTSD(post traumatic stress disorder) time bomb just waiting to explode. With this series i’m hoping to not only tell those stories but explore how characters cope and deal with them. The stories in Room 313 are told in short vignettes.
In episode one, we meet Dilim and follow him on his own cathartic journey. My friend and collaborator from my short film ‘Shrink’ Imoh Umoren is executive producer on this project and actor Harry Dorgu plays Dilim.”
