Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun And Nigeria’s Other New Women Ministers And Their Portfolios



After months of waiting, President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated Nigeria’s new ministers today. There were many surprises in the portfolio allocations, but keeping with what is now becoming a tradition, Nigeria’s new Minister of Finance is a woman –   Kemi Adeosun  from Ogun state.

The other new women ministers and their portfolios are:

Amina Mohammed (Gombe) – Minister of Environment

Aisha Alhassan (Taraba) – Minister of Women Affairs

Aisha Abubakar (Sokoto) – Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Investment

Khadija Bukar Abba (Yobe) – Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Zainab Ahmed (Kaduna) – Minister of State for Budget
