It’s a new year and time for new goals! We asked some of our readers what they wanted to achieve in 2016. Here is what they said!

Sharpen my French Speaking Skills
I have always wanted to speak French but never got around to it. This year- I am doing it. I will download the app, see French movies, maybe even go to a francophone country for the holidays. Whatever it takes, I’ll do – Osas, Accountant

Work on My Cooking Skills
I’m not very good at cooking a variety of delicacies. This year, I want to change that and be more experimental – Esther, Marketer

Start Saving
I’ve worked for years after graduating and I don’t have emergency cash saved anywhere. I guess it’s time to take it easy on the clothes and shoes and really be a responsible adult this year – Adesua, Journalist

Start My Own Vlog
I like make-up and dressing right and I’ve been wanting to share my skills for a while . By end of this year, I want to have started my vlog and have a good following too – Anu, Fashion Designer

Buy a Car
I’m done with trekking. I saved a little in 2015. I’ll complete it this year and get myself a car! Can’t wait! – Amarachi, Digital Strategist

Get Promoted or Get another Job
I want to really move forward this year .It’s my promotion year and I’m taking my A Game to work. I won’t mind a better job either – Tinuola, HR.

Get Serious with God
God was good to me all of last year despite my unfaithfulness. This new year, I’m joining a group in church- maybe ushering, going regularly for services and making sure I am serious with God in general – Eloho, Teacher

Exercise More and Get a Washboard Belly
I used to have really flat belly. I sort of lost it over the years. This is year I’m getting that back. I will be watching my diet and exercising and get my old belly back- I promise me – Joke, Teacher.

Get my masters
I want to get my masters this year – Titi, HR

Go out more often and Revive My Social Life
I have always been one to spend my weekends at home- snoring away. I want to change that this year. Get out more often, live more- life is more than work – Ejiro, Nurse

Be a better friend to all my Friends
I plan to support my friends more the year, attend their events, support them more. Generally be a better friend. All of 2015, I was so into myself – Lolade, Banker.
