FIRST WOMEN: First Nigerian Woman Bauchi Radio Corporation Managing Director

Hajia Jumai Bello was the first woman to breaking the glass ceiling in Bauchi’s Radio Corporation. Before Jumai Bello, the Station had, since its inception, never  had a female Managing Director.

She did not get there in one day- she worked her way up the ranks, proving time and again that she was a perfect fit for positions of authority.

Right before her appointment, she was the Director of News and Current Affairs at the same station

During her tenure as the Director of News and Current Affairs, she was highly instrumental in helping  the  National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Bauchi  with enlightening the public on ways to prevent the Ebola disease.

She was also the leader of  the forum that  went on a campaign to enlightening the public during the voter registration exercise from January 8, 2011 to January 22, 2011.

The 55 year old is a graduate of of Bayero University, Kano where she studied Mass Communication. She graduated in 1982

Within the short time she was ushered into her position as Managing Director , she has been able to provide modern equipment in the station
