10 Tips For Healthy Glowing Skin Right At Home

Like every other person who is looking for clear skin, I have gone through every article which professed the secret of getting good skin. And I have tried most of their suggestions. Yet, I struggled to find a routine to cure my skin problems.

So instead of relying on products entirely I tried simple routines to make my skin better. Although the results were gradual, my skin problems stopped recurring.

Whether it’s acne or premature aging, these tips will help to take your skincare routine to the next level.

  1.    Choose the right products

It’s hard to avoid using skin care products entirely. So you have to take your time and find something that is suitable for your skin. Know your skin type—is it oily or dry? If you’re not sure, consult a dermatologist and voice your concerns. They will figure it out and even recommend products that will suit you.


  1.    Use sunscreen every day

Wearing sunscreen when you’re young will save your skin from damage in the later years. It offers protection against sunburn, cancer, and skin aging. During cloudy days people think they don’t need sunscreen, but UV rays can penetrate the clouds. So always wear sunscreen when you go out and choose a cream that is water resistant and has a minimum SPF of 30.

  1.    Don’t forget your neck

No matter how much you pamper your face, your neck gives away your age. So give some love to your neck as well. Massage the skin on your neck with oils. Make sure you select oils that are not heavy. You can apply almond or rose oil on your neck and massage for a maximum of 15 minutes. Do this at least twice a week.

Exfoliation is the process of removing dry and dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. It not only helps to battle skin problems but, also contributes to increasing blood flow. So as a part of your beauty regime exfoliate your face and body twice a week. Once you’re done exfoliating, apply a good moisturizer. It’s best to exfoliate before bedtime so that you don’t expose your skin to the sun at least for 12 hours.

One of the easy ways to keep your skin hydrated is by drinking more water. In addition to drinking plenty of water, check for chemicals and impurities in the water you consume. If it’s not possible to get that information, install a filtration system or a purifier. It’s important you consider this because impurities can be filtered out, but you can’t filter out chemicals.

You must always watch what you eat to keep your skin healthy. If your body is healthy from within it will reflect on the outside. Some studies have shown that certain foods can have a negative impact on skin. For instance, too much coffee can lead to dehydration and milk consumption can clog your pores. So it is advised to limit your intake. Also, have at least one serving of fruits and vegetables every day.

  1.    Stay active

Physical activity is not only for losing weight but, to get flawless skin too. Exercising increases the flow of blood and oxygen to the skin and flushes out waste in the form of sweat. Even a brisk walk for 30 minutes could make a difference. Also, it’s not necessary that you have to go to a gym. You could dance, cycle or skip. Anything that makes you sweat will do the trick. Do you want beautiful skin? The answer is sleep. It is the secret of having a healthy body and gorgeous skin. Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep for your mind to be active and you skin to glow. If you have trouble sleeping, draw a warm bath or listen to soothing music to relax your mind. It’ll help you to get better sleep leading to improved health.

  1.    Don’t pop pimples

If your skin is prone to acne and pimples, you must learn to take proper care of it. It will be very tempting to pop the zit. But, this will cause scarring, redness,inflammation and it will be hard to fix your skin. And moreover, inflammation will lead to more pimples. Usually, pimples will stay for a few days, but if you pop them, the marks will be hard to get rid of. So opt for a safe alternative to treat them.

  1.    Facial exercises

Just like any other part of your body the muscles on your face can be strengthened through exercise. It helps you look younger and healthier. Facial exercise is a good way to keep your wrinkles at bay.
