My Weight Loss Goals For This Year

These are my personal weight loss goals for the year. I see my weight fluctuating from time to time, around August/September, I weighed 74kg but I maintained an average of 77kg through 2015. I gained a lot in December and all through the festive period, I think its time to shed the unwanted weight for good. I want to get rid of the “dreaded” last 5kgs. To do this, I will be joining the weight loss challenge. Yes, I am in for the prize too, if I win, I take the prize!! So bring on the competition, its been a while I challenged myself and I love a good challenge, it makes me do more.

Some people might be wondering why I still want to lose weight, my dear the struggle is real. I don’t know why, but the “fat” keeps creeping back. If I stop now, I will look like a bag of rice in no time.

The #power weight loss challenge is really important to me because, it’s the first challenge of the year and like I said earlier,  I intend to lose 5kg before Easter. I want to comfortably wear a size 6 dress by the end of the challenge. Here are my goals and plans for the challenge;

  1. To wake up early everyday to exercise, except on Sundays.
  2. To workout for at least 1hr daily.
  3. To eat a cup of fruits and a bowl of salad at least 4 times a week.
  4. To drink at least 2 cups of green tea daily.
  5. To drop at least 0.8kg each week during the challenge.
  6. To cut down on rice, bread, soda, juice, white sugar and pastries.
  7. To follow my meal plan daily all through the challenge.
  8. To drink at least four 500ml bottles of water daily.
  9. To stop eating by 6.30pm daily.
  10. To wear a size 6 dress by the end of the challenge.

After I wrote all these down on my jotter, I looked at them and became weak. Can I really keep up? Its scary but this is the only way I can push myself, I have to set boundaries and goals for myself if I want to succeed. It’s not going to be easy, but I know with God all things are possible. I did it before, I can surely do it again right?

I know many of you reading this want to join but you feel you won’t be able to keep up, or wondering how you will manage without eating your yummy snacks and meals that you love. I totally understand, but you have to do the right thing. If the weight has become a problem, you better work on it now before it accumulates. Nothing good comes easy. The good thing about this is that; you get to learn a lot of things that will benefit you and your family in future.

If you have the money and you know you need to lose weight for whatever reason, please don’t fail to join us, I don’t want you to regret. Make up your mind fast and come register, the clock is ticking and time waits for no one.
