It is heartbreaking to read stories of women, who experience domestic violence but then go back to their husbands every time they get beaten. Many women who have suffered domestic violence have said leaving an abusive partner is not as easy as it sounds, but yet we can’t but wonder what exactly keeps them going back…

A twitter user, @_Buttercup_Cake, tweeted this last week about a woman, Bunmi who always go back to her husband after been beaten by him.

This evening, she tweeted that she was called by her sister-in-law who told her that Bunmi was rushed to the hospital after her husband beat her this afternoon.

She tweeted,

Really, there’s no ‘ i know my spouse 100% ” before/After marriage.. People change mehn

The man u think u know so well before u marry him might wake up one day and turn to a beast… This marriage of a thing is God’s Grace..

Her husband almost killed her 3months ago. he woke up in d middle of the night and started beating her with belt. she managed to get out naked

The husband started begging her that it was devil’s work 3weeks after. He even signed undertaking at d station that he’ll Neva hit her again

It is sad really…. They’ve bn together for 17years….according to Bunmi, she said her husband just started d habit of beating her

No matter the heavy beating she receives, she always go back to him after he apologizes…. God, this can’t be love..

My sis-in-Law just called to tell me Bunmi is in the hospital.. Her husband beat her again this noon when Bunmi got back from church..
