12 Memorable Things That Happened To Some Of Our Favorite Celebrities This Year

   

2016 brought with it some of the biggest celebrity controversies. There were also some good deeds like we have never seen, and sadly we also lost some of the celebrities we loved.

We recollect some of those events.

 

 TY Bello

In February this year, TY Bello discovered Olajumoke Orisaguna, the bread seller who has since become a model.

 

Toyin Aimhaku

In July, the save Mayowa story which involved Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimhaku gained public attention when the actress led a campaign to raise funds for Mayowa who was an ovarian cancer patient was a fraud. There was later a major conflict between Toyin and Mayowa’s family. Unfortunately,  Mayowa died.

 

Ibinabo Fiberesima

In February 2006, Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima hit a staff of Lagos state hospital, Giwa Suraj, in a car accident. As a result, in March this year, she was sentenced to a 5-year imprisonment before being granted a bail.

 

Toke Makinwa

Media personality Toke Makinwa wrote a book, which talked about her life, her failed marriage and who she has become after the incidence.

 

Funke Akindele

In a private wedding in London, Funke Akindele re-married. Her husband is Abdulrasheed Bello.

 

Henrietta kosoko

In June, we lost 53-year-old Nollywood actress, Henrietta Kosoko, after a brief illness.

 

Bukky Ajayi

The 82-year-old veteran actress died as a result of a heart-related disease in July, few weeks after she received an AMVCA award.

 

Tiwa Savage

Few days after her husband, Teebilz rwrote on his Instagram page about their troubled marriage, Tiwa Savage did a tell-all recording in April, where she disclosed how she had been patching things up in her marriage.

 

Mide Martins

Although her family is back to normal, the Nollywood actress on her instagram page shared a post that went viral about how her husband abandoned her and the children for months without checking on them.
