Her take on sexual purity beyond the screen
I am a strong advocate of sexual purity! It goes beyond the screen for me, that is who I am in reality. I am a member of Mine Ministry and we celebrate World Virginity Day every second Saturday in June with families in different state within the country and outside Nigeria, the ministry is fast becoming the loudest voice in advocating sexual purity, encouraging virgins to keep their virginity and non-virgins to decide to stay pure till marriage.
God told me some years back when I never thought I ‘ll be an actress or be on TV, that he would open a door for me in the entertainment world and that when he does, I should talk about sexual purity, the message is simply this-being a virgin is not ‘old school’, it is actually trending! The devil has lied to so many girls and guys making them feel that they are the only ones left so we are encouraging them and letting them know that they are not alone.
For those who aren’t virgins, we are encouraging them to sexually pure and wait till marriage. I get a lot of criticisms, people saying, “Virginity shouldn’t be discussed openly.” But if sex, pornography, nudity, homosexuality and the likes can be discussed freely without apologies, why then should we be quiet about virginity and sexual purity?
I have a call and I have pledged with all my life, with God’s help that I will not stop being an advocate of purity no matter the opposition. Virginity and sexual purity must not and will not be history.
