What is Zucchini?
Zucchini or courgette is a vegetable. Not to be confused with cucumber… See differences here. There are so many health benefits you get from Zucchinis, including being one of the very low calorie vegetables – only 17 calories per 100g.
One of our favourite food bloggers, Erinma of Foodland Fairy (She’s got amazing recipes) has put together a graphic step by step guide to help you prepare the Zucchini swallow easily.
Step 1: What You Need
– 250 grams zucchini
– 100 ml water
– 2 tablespoons psyllium husk (If you are in Nigeria and don’t know where to get psyllium husk, you can order from @nellies.ng.
Step 2: Wash and slice the Zucchini
Step 3: Place Zucchini in a pot and pour in the water
Step 4: Steam for 5 minutes
Step 5: Blend
Step 6: Make sure your Zucchini is blended into a puree
Step 7: Heat up a pot➡Pour in the zucchini puree
Step 8: Add 2 table spoons of Psyllium husk
Step 9: Stir
Step 10: Stir and and turn the heat off a minute after you added the Psyllium husk
Your Zucchini Swallow is ready. Serve with any soup of your choice
