Nana Rawlings Becomes The First Woman To Run For President In Ghana



Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings who is being called ‘African’s Hiliary Clinton’ by the media, is the wife of of Former President of Ghana, Jerry Rawlings.

Nana Rawlings, who is leader of Ghana’s National Democratic Party, and six other candidates who are challenging the incumbent president, John Mahama who is also contesting.

The 67 year-old  is the first woman ever to run for Presidency in Ghana and has been admired for her work as women’s rights campaigner.

As Ghana goes to the poll, the world is crossing fingers on the likelihood of another Female President in Africa.
