Rahma Haruna Passes Away At 19

Rahma Haruna, the Kano State-born girl without limbs has died after a brief illness.

She died at age 19, in her Lahadin Makole’s home, Warawa Local Government Area of Kano State on Christmas day and has been buried according to religious rites.

Rahma was confined to living in a plastic bowl because she could not walk or move around by herself and was always being carried around by her brother and other family members to beg for alms on the streets.

She was gifted a wheel chair after her plight was made public by a freelance photographer named Sani Maikatanga, who posted her images online.

Rahma Haruna was healthy as a baby until she came down with a fever and stomach pains and could not learn how to crawl.

Doctors detected she had mysteriously stopped growing but could not diagnose what was wrong with her. After the sickness, her arms and legs stopped growing.

Her dream was to one day own a grocery business
