While on the journey of life, we are constantly looking at what other people are doing, Toluwa Oyeleye says.
Speaking on the topic, “On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!” at a TEDx event, Tolu explained that we struggle so much because we are comparing ourselves with other people.
Toluwa Oyeleye is a social activist and youth mentor. She is currently pursuing her Masters in International Development at Edinburgh University.
After working as a Teacher and Mentor with youths at home and abroad, she has decided to further her understanding in how we can realise and relish in the power within themselves to change their own situation.
“Feeding your passion is just as important as finding your passion. It is said the two greatest days of your life is when you are born and when you find out why. I would argue the greatest achievement of your life is when you begin to change your passion into action. The question is where do you start? It is not enough to have passion, you have to put in the work.”
