9 Nigerian Women Nominated For New African Women Forum Awards


Nine Nigerian women have been nominated to receive awards by the New African Women Forum in celebration of their contribution in leadership and excellence in Africa.

The New African Woman Forum believes that women play a crucial role to make Africa one of the fastest growing developing regions in the world.

60 women from across Africa were listed in 10 categories and the winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony which will take place on the 12th and 13th of April, in Senegal.

The Nigerian nominees are,

Founder – Working to Advance Science and Technology Education For African Women (WAAW)

Jessica O.Mathews (Health, Science And Innovation)

Founder/MD Flying Doctors Nigeria

Bola Adesola (Finance)
MD/CEO Nigeria and West Africa – Standard Chartered Bank

Uche Eze Pedro (Media)

Zain Ejiofor Asher (Media)

Joan Okorodudu (Art And Culture)
Founder of ISIS Models/Nigeria’s Next Super Model
