Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Has Been Elected Into The American Academy Of Arts And Sciences


A month after being elected into the American Academy of Arts and Letters, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been elected into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

According to a press release by the Academy, Chimamanda was elected alongside 228 new members and listed amongst 40 Foreign Honorary Members from 19 countries.

Founded in 1780, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences is one of the country’s oldest learned societies and independent policy research centers, assembling leaders from the academic, business, and government sectors to respond to the challenges facing the nation and the world.

Following their induction at a ceremony on October 7, 2017, the new members will contribute to Academy publications and studies in their different fields.
