For US-based student, Olawunmi Akinlemibola, it’s an awesome time as she has been accepted into over 14 schools and she has to make her decisions before May 1st.
Wtop reported that Olawunmi was accepted into Emory University, Brown University, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, College Park, University of Maryland, College Park, Swarthmore College, and Grinnell College.
Others are Amherst College, University of Chicago, Duke University, Stanford University, Cornell University, Princeton University, Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania.
Some of the offers from these schools come with scholarships that will cover the entire cost of her four-year education.
With a 4.15 GPA, a college credit earned through her school’s dual-enrollment program, and a love for soccer, the 18-year old is said to be sought after.
Her counselor, Stacy Kline, said,
Olawunmi explained that her mother, who lives in Nigeria with her two young sisters, is a source of inspiration and encouragement.
She also said that her father who works as a security officer in Prince George’s County in the US is a source of support.
