“Have Faith Because Whether You’ve Been Waiting For 6 Or 29 Years God Will Come Through For You” – Betty Irabor

So many times we get so busy chasing and complaining about what we don’t have that we forget to show gratitude for all the things we already have.

Betty Irabor, in an inspiring Instagram post encourages us to appreciate our situation while believing God to do what we want instead of grumbling about what we don’t have.

Guess who had a baby bump after 29 years ?? I was in the Doctor's waiting room with about 30 other women. Each one lost in deep thought, clutching on to the tiniest strand of hope;trusting, believing and yet crushed from years of waiting for a miracle. We all had one thing in common; we were there to find answers to various infertility issues. I was already blessed with one and wanted one or two more. Mine was said to be a case of secondary infertility. The room was quiet too quiet. You would hear the occasional sigh. Impulsively, I started a conversation with the woman on my right and eventually asked her how long she had been trying for a baby; "29 years" she replied with a heavy sigh. Then she asked me the same question. I couldn't get the words out because what was my 6years compared to her 29!? " 6years" , I finally said. Guilt washed all over me. " 6 years? Ah you're lucky". She said with a hint of a smile. I felt even worse when she told me that unlike me she didn't have any child to comfort her. Her husband and in-laws labelled her barren!!! In that same 6th year my daughter was born..and as I reflected on the many anguished faces in that waiting room I realised we often don't thank God enough for what we already have . Too often when we find ourselves walking that street called Hope it takes other people's stories to help us appreciate that that there are other people who will gladly trade places with us. Are you walking on that street called Hope right now? Have faith because whether you've been waiting for 6 or 29 years God will come through for you.. You want to hear the good news? When I visited the same hospital for a routine gynae check 2 yrs after my baby was born, guess who had a tiny bump? Yes the same woman who had waited 29 years!!! Wow wow wow. Oh I bet you thought I was the one with a bump😂😂😂 Dress @lanredasilvaajayi makeup @zaroncosmetics and pic @iammoussamoussa
