In March, Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo’s name was mentioned in a sex scandal involving Apostle Johnson Suleiman and Stephanie Otobo. Shortly after that, another story about her alleged sexual involvement with a port-harcourt based pastor, David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries was published by Kemi Olunloyo.

Kemi Olunloyo was arrested after publishing the story and is still remanded in prison until she meets her bail condition.

As Iyabo Ojo covers the new issue of Happenings magazine, she commented on the issue.

On accusations and Kemi Olunloyo

My lawyer has addressed the issue and the public has been duly informed. I havent met her before and according to her, someone sent her a message, I don’t know about what. All I know is that I was called to be an ambassador of the Nigeria Polce Academy and they said they heard a rumour about me that needed to be cleared so as to give a report back to their oga at the top. I was given a witness form which I filled. I didn’t even know it was going to be used against her. I had to call my lawyer who gave me the permission to fill the witness form since it wasn’t a petition form.

On social media and controversies

I wouldn’t like to talk about anything that has to do with social media. The last time I talked to a media station, Channels TV, on how the young ones can handle pressure on social media, I used myself as an example and the story was turned around to spite me.

I am going to continue bringing myself out on social media because a lot of people draw inspiration from me. Fans wants to see you and a lot of people get encouraged on how you handle certain challenges of your life. I am just going to be mute on things that would cause a distraction. People are going to believe what they want to believe, so, it doesn’t really make any difference.
