Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is presently in the UK to do some medical checkups as following her recent experience with domestic violence.

The actress posted a picture of her visit to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, noting that no women should ever go through domestic violence.

According to some of her fans, the post was unnecessary as the issue has been over flogged.

Defending herself, Mercy explained that coming out to talk about her experience is to encourage women in abusive marriages to speak out.

In her response to a fan, she said,

@world_best_beauty_2017 my darling my coming out to talk about my
experience isn’t about been vindicated, but it’s about saying enough is
enough……….. it’s about giving courage to other women going tru the same
to come out and talk about it, maybe when we all start to talk about it
and stand against it, it will help stop it because the day you stand up
to a Bully that person ceases to be one!!!!!!….. our voices needs to
be heard and people should look inward and make corrections where
necessary….
