“She Was Coughing Blood From Her Nose And Mouth And She Had Injury On Her Face” – Commissioner For Women Affairs Speaks On The Domestic Violence Mercy Aigbe Suffered

Even though Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has not said anything about what is going on in her marriage,  there have been many reports online on how she was battered by her husband.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation,  Lola Akande has been reproted to have expressed her disappointment at the actress’ husband, Lanre Gentry, for putting his wife in a bad shape.

According to GoldmyneTV, the commissioner explained that the actress was coughing blood with bruises on her face and other parts of her body when she came crying for help.

She said,
She was coughing blood from her nose and mouth and she had injury on her face which the doctor said she must have an operation. I was so angry that I need to see the face of the man that did this to her, and so we invited him and he came yesterday (Tuesday) to say his own side of the story to the official in charge of domestic violence. But any man that can beat a woman to a pulp like that to the extent that she is still coughing blood one week after the incident need to have his head examined.
She further explained that a restraining order has been put in place against the actress’s  husband to prevent a re-occurrence.

The commissioner commended Mercy Aigbe’s courage for coming out to report her ordeal while encouraging other women going through the same to come out and speak.

Am not in support of men beating women, but honestly ehn u need to see how some women talk when they are pissed/angry…. They will insult u, your entire family, n some men can’t stand a woman insulting their mother… Worst part is, some of these women will use d secret u told them in d past to insult u, simply cos they are angry…. Cos I don’t think her husband will just start beating her for nothing, well …its not my business after all, cos when they were fucking, they didn’t tell me….Lol

Women?????? God created the world and rested, God created man and rested. But since God created Woman neither man nor God has rested. Women are as good as providence bcos through them souls come into into this world, but when viewed the other way they are: WOE into man
