Media personality, Uwanma Odefa thinks some marriages have become a jungle these days, especially with the increasing cases of domestic violence being reported in the media.

Citing examples of Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, Tonto Dikeh and many others, Uwanma explains  that there are certain skills women need to survive the mine field that some marriages have become.

According to her, they are skills mothers should ensure their daughters have.

So, she gives 5 marriage survival skills that will guide you towards surviving marriage and your relationship.

Some of the skills are;

Self-defense skills – Every female should be taught to defend themselves, incapacitate their oppressor, and give themselves the opportunity to get away and seek help.

Financial skills – Every woman should be taught how to make money, save money and grow money. Every mother should make sure their daughter has expansive financial skills.

Walking-out skills –  Sometimes, you need to accept it’s not working and walk out
