Months After Being Rescued From Abandonment, Esther And Her Daughter Prepare To Go Back To School

In January this year, a Nigerian doctor shared the story of a teenager, Esther and her malnourished baby in Cross-river, Calabar.

Esther was impregnated when she went to work as a maid at Eket and was rejected by her grandparents and abandoned by her own mother until she was rescued by Dr. Betta.

In another Instagram post, Dr. Betta explained that Esther and her baby would start school in September as Esther’s child celebrates her second birthday.

She wrote,

A few months ago I held a severely malnourished child who was almost lifeless belonging to a teenage mother who dropped out of primary school. Today am so happy and grateful to God that she is alive, hale and hearty to celebrate her 2nd birthday….

Guess what mother and child are starting school in September!!!! We made this happen… We allowed God use us. We may not all do great things but we can do little things in great ways!!!!!!! #DrBettaEdu #AYADECARE
