This Is What Makes These Four Women In The Fashion And Beauty Industry Powerful!

Celebrating some strong and phenomenal women shaping the fashion and beauty industry of the continent, Schick Magazine asked them what makes them powerful.

This is what they had to say;

ADENIKE OGUNLESI

Knowing who I am, where I come from, with clarity on who I wish to be and where I am going, gives me such freedom. It’s exhilarating and helps me find solutions to whatever I have to face. Belief in myself, the joy and privilege to significantly impact the lives of those who cross my path makes me feel empowered.  Knowing that I have a strong network of support from my husband, children, family and colleagues at work, reminds me that I am never alone. Being made in the image and likeness of God makes me feel powerful.

DEOLA SAGOE

I feel empowered by the sheer enormity of untapped potential in the industry, that’s so glaring to me. I am so passionate about bringing these potentials to life, using the talents that the Almighty God has bestowed upon me.

Also having an audience to push a point of view that has the potential to make us individually and collectively fulfilled and powerful. Having a team who believes in you and your vision and are ready to go on a rocky ride with you makes me feel empowered.

I feel powerful when I am able to influence people and empower them to pursue their purpose with precision, as well as clarity of vision. I feel powerful when I am able to guide others and leverage my network to help them soar. When I use my platform to showcase the outstanding talent of others and become a sponsor who provides the means through which people’s gifts are projected on multiple platforms, that also makes me powerful.
