Bisola Aiyeola Speaks On The Issues Affecting Girls’ Education At The UN General Assembly In New York

Bisola Aiyeola is presently at the 72nd session of the UN General Assemby in New York as a ONE ambassador.

This is after she won the ONE Back to School presentation at the Big Brother Naija show.

According to her mini vlog series on her Instagram page, Bisola attended a conference with the Organisation of African First Ladies, where topics like harnessing the demographic dividend of the youth population, healthcare, and improving girls’ education in Africa, were discussed.

She also attended the Global Goals award dinner organised by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

As an ambassador of the ONE organisation, Bisola spoke on the issues affecting girls’ education in Nigeria.

“If I didn’t have an education I likely wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be an ambassador for ONE or be at #UNGA. Raising issues on girl child education online is important. You never know who’s watching and going to take action. We are using social media to urge governments to put policies in place that will improve Nigerians’ live. You don’t have to wait for government. We all can make a difference by helping one girl at a time get education” She said
