After our recent feature on how Haneefah Adam Is Changing the Way Barbie Dolls Look To Reflect Religious Diversity, we are back with some more exciting news about her good works!
This time she recreates, a wedding gown, music Legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Star Wars, John Boyega’s love for Jollof rice and dodo and a Nigerian woman rocking a turban – with food!
We have seen food art but honestly we haven’t seen it done with Nigerian food quite like this.
She shared the photos of her art work created with food on her Instagram page with captions:
I've been making food art for about three years now, before the competition, I never really explored Nigerian dishes/food for my food art, the possibilities I discovered now were amazing! Looking forward to exploring this medium more. I've used dried pepper once before, but not on a large scale. Anyways, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. ✌🏾️#TechmeetsartNG
"Inspired by the true African beauty, What's cooking is Ogbono Soup. Using all the ingredients of this South East Nigerian delicacy, the portrait expresses and celebrates the beauty of an African woman and her uniqueness as a vibrant and colourful spirit. She's a beautiful strong woman that wears her deep sense of heritage with pride. " One of my entries for #TechmeetsartNG
Star Wars British actor, born to Nigerian parents, John Boyega, who had earlier shared his love for Jollof rice and dodo also gave props to Haneefah’s art work by sharing on his Instagram page.
