How Mary Escaped From Her Kidnappers By Divine Intervention

Some days ago, some kidnappers, who were arrested by the Ondo State Police, confessed to kidnapping female students of Adeyemi College of Education for ritual purposes.

So, when Mary, an 100-level student of the institution escaped from a kidnapper’s den after spending 11 days, she knows it is by a ‘divine intervention.’

The 18-year old told Punch that she had left school late on the evening of September 1, after lectures and was headed home when she boarded a cab by kidnappers.

The cab, painted in Ondo State taxi colours already had a lady and two other men in it. Just as she settled in, she became unconcious, and found herself in a building located inside a thick forest.

“I discovered that there were two guys and three ladies that had already been kidnapped and kept inside the building in the forest. The three men that kidnapped us were there  too. The men did not give us food for the time we were there, they were giving us only water,” she narrated.

According to her, she saw big men who came in flashy cars to buy human flesh.

Mary regained her freedom when the kidnappers were quarelling over money given to them by a customer.

While they were arguing, they stopped watching over their victims and that was when Mary alongside others, ran into the bush.

“They did not watch us as they fought. That was when we used the opportunity to run out of the building in the forest,” she said.

She explained that she trekked for three days in the forest until she got to where she met a lady on the road and asked for directions to Ondo town.
