Meet Ufuomaee, The Author Of The Church Girl – She Hopes That Through This Book, Marriages Will Be Improved, Delivered From Trouble, Restored And Blessed!

Please tell us more about you.

I am a wife and a mother, a passionate lover of God, who loves to write and teach on Grace and Truth.  I have a blog, Ufuomaee.blog, which has lots of articles that I have written over the years, as I have learnt more from my personal walk with God.  My newest passion is telling stories on my blog, through story series.  I also run a charity organisation, Fair Life Africa Foundation, where we seek to empower people for a fairer life.  Please visit www.fairlifeafrica.org to learn more about what we do and how you can support us.

How does it feel seeing your book ready?

I am so excited about seeing my book in print.  It was a long journey to get this point, as I fell victim to deceivers acting as publishing agents.  I wrote more about it on my blog, blog.ufuomaee.org.

What is your new book about

In a word: LOVE.  Real love.  The long-suffering, gracious, redemptive love of God.  It is communicated through a fictional story about an orphan, Mary, who is taken advantage of by her pastor, when she seeks help from the Church.  As a Church girl, she meets bad boy, Ifeanyi, during NYSC camp, and he doesn’t know her dark secret.  He soon discovers it, as nothing stays hidden forever…and soon, his own past comes to wreck havoc on their love.  In Book One, the story takes us through their journey of letting go, dying to self and surrendering to the will of God in their lives as singles.  In Book Two, we also read about how they mature in love during marriage, learning to be as gracious as God and rising up to their potential in Christ.

Why did you write this book?

I actually didn’t intend to write a book, nor did I intend to write a series.  I thought it would be an interesting short story, but by God’s help and grace, it became so much more.  Through all my writings, I hope to inspire, challenge, convict and bless my readers, so The Church Girl is a book to minister to Believers.  It teaches on marriage, singleness, holiness, forgiveness, restoration and grace in God.  I also hope that it will be a point of contact for those who do not yet believe, to explore the true practice of the Christian faith, expressed in love.

How has been the feedback?

It has been great!  I was highly encouraged when writing the original story series (which has seven parts, and is still on my blog), by the many comments of those who read it.  I have also received awesome reviews about the book from my readers.  One was published on Bella Naija and another on this blog 🙂  There was a review on Instagram recently that made me smile.  If I may share it, Udy Ntia, who shared his review said: “The Church Girl: a convergence of love, faith and redemption intricately woven in twists and plots fit for the big screens. If you love Ted Dekker, you’ll refuse to part with Ufuomaee’s debut fiction novel that speaks to current realities. Get ready to have your spare time busted! #God is in a good mood!”

What is the overall message you hope readers get from reading your book?

I hope that they will be awakened to LOVE.  I hope that they will be renewed in their thirst for God.  I hope that their marriages will be improved, delivered from trouble, restored and blessed!  I hope that when they finish reading, they will leave with the awareness that God loves them so much and is in perfect control over all that concerns them.
