Why not give this super easy homemade puree a try as you wean your baby off milk. You get to control the contents that go into it and put your mind to rest about processed food. Bananas are great for getting that thickness.

2 pcs apple

20 cl apple juice

1 pc banana

Peel the apples and remove the core. Then chop the apples.

Put the chopped apples into a pressure pot or sauce pan with 5-6 tablespoons of water and cook on medium heat. You might choose to add apple juice, especially with green apples. If you use pink lady apples you can stick to just water.

Cook for about 8 minutes or until tender enough.

Remove the cooked apples and put into a food processor with the ripe banana or alternatively use a blender to your achieve your desired texture. Do not pour the water from the pot away.

Add the retained water to further thin out the puree if required.

I understand your point but it’s often advised to start with cooked fruits once babies get the hang of complementary foods. Most babies are unable to handle the sugar and fibre contents of raw fruits due to their immature tummy. However, you can enrich the puree and improve it’s consistency with infant formula or breast milk.
