We all have our bad days, when everything seems so hopeless and we are struggling to find the strength to go on. It happens even to the strongest of us. Uche Ogbodo know how it feels. She recently got divorced and is raising her beautiful daughter alone, and she says when she is having a really bad day this is how she stays motivated.
On a really really bad day, my motivation is my daughter. She’s my strength. She’s the reason I’m still here now. I think God blessed me with that little girl now because she makes me always know where I’m going. When I’m in a bad mood and she says, ‘mummy are you okay?’ I remember where I want us to get to.
I remember that I want to prove a lot of people wrong. I remember that I must live so that my child can live. I remember that all of my past is behind me and this is a new future and God knows why he put me here as the guardian of this little girl, so, I have to survive for her to survive. I have to succeed for people to see that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
