“They Joked About Dying Together, Perfect Ride/Die And It Happened” – Toke Makinwa Shares Her Parents’ Love Story

Comparing their their kind of love to what we many couple have now, Toke says, her parents had the best love story ever and even joked about dying together, which eventually happened.

In her book, ‘On Becoming,’ Toke revealed her parents died from a fire accident.

She tweeted,

Romance movies put us all in trouble. I once believed in Love like the story books, fairytales where everything turns out perfect and then I grew up

I’m not sure I believe in soulmates anymore.. Not scared just tired of the other side

it’s not even that, I think what I’m looking for doesn’t exist. I have to sue romantic books and movies I watched growing up

When people die does it mean their soulmates will remain alone for life??? Do we have multiple soulmates

My parents , (God rest their souls) had the best love story ever. I was young but I remember my dad’s eyes lit up every time he saw my mum

I remember she changed her hairstyle one time and he walked in and the first thing he noticed was her hair was different. I still remember

They joked about dying together, perfect ride/die and it happened. They were buried side by side.
