“Compare Yourself To None. Don’t Judge Your Own Departure With Someone Else’s Arrival” – Sola Allyson Shares Her Journey To Finding Purpose

Do we all have a life purpose? How do we know what we have been called to do? These are some of the questions many people ask themselves when trying to find true meaning to life.

Sola Allyson has been at that crossroads, and in the note below she shares her journey to knowing her purpose, while encouraging others to take their time and not compare themselves to others while on the journey.

She wrote,

Whatever point you are today, please do not lose hope. Know that you are on the way to achieving/fulfilling purpose. We all are different and our callings and purpose(s) are different too. The way things work out for us is different too. Compare yourself to noone. Don’t judge your own departure with someone else’s arrival.

You might even be in a place now where you’re not sure of what your purpose is exactly.. You see, it is not everyone who now knows purpose that found it without some striving. Just make sure that whatever your hand finds to do, you do very well. You’ll get to the place. Whoever seeks Help from Above, truly and sincerely, gets it.

There was a time being a Lawyer looked like purpose for me, but how would I achieve it with no one to fund my education? I was a Secretary for sometime. A very good one. Very good at Typewriting/Shorthand. Had a good job. Resigned.

Fine geh. I wanted to be an Actress at some point. I auditioned to be a Presenter at a TV station, not that I couldn’t speak English but something did not click sha. Did I not try to dance? I sold fabrics and jewelleries. Whoever knew me then and saw me as unserious or an NFA (no future ambition) or “doesn’t have stuff” or not “touche”, would be amazed now!

I was even “toning” my skin then, style-style bleaching. All of these times, I was singing, back-up, signature tunes, voiceovers, et al.

Then something happened in my mind space. I don’t know when exactly. But can be attributed to my rebirth time. Not a giz-giz thing o, my mindset just changed and with time the change got stable. My circle of influence changed, inside and out. I found IT! I could lay my finger on IT! And the rest is becoming history!

You’ll get there. You’ll find IT. You’ll be rescued. You’ll be Helped. Cry your cry but know when to stop! Even at my crying times, I was still on the move. Your mates are leaving you “behind”, keep moving.

Everybody is asking when your own will be? It looks like you don’t know what you’re doing. The “know-it-all” people around you see you as stupid? Check your motives. Review them. Befriend godly values. Follow life’s principles. Iranwo a wa!

You’ll find purpose. #Yoodaa!
