Latasha Ngwube Speaks On Losing Friends In The Course Of Carrying Out Her New Job

Whether deliberate or not, we all will likely step on other people’s toes while pursuing our dreams. What do you do when your work puts you at risk of saying or doing things that your friends will not like.

Media personality, Latasha Ngwube has that experience and as much as she can’t control it, she assures herself that as time goes on, her friends would realise she meant no harm.

As the host of ‘Hot Topics’ on Linda Ikeji TV, Latasha revealed that she has lost some friends due to the show.

Speaking to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on ‘Rubbin Minds,’ Latasha stated that Toke Makinwa no longer speaks to her, notwithstanding, she is not worried about losing more friends.

She said,

I have lost some friendships… You know Toke Makinwa doesn’t speak to me anymore. I didn’t do anything to her but she felt some type of way about somethings that were said about her on the show.

I didn’t say anything but she felt that it was my show and I should have protected her. But then I was like, “you know, Toke, it’s kind of like my job and it’s a new job and I’m trying to figure it out.”

When asked if she is worried about losing more friends, she said,

Absolutely not. Because when you’re moving up in life, you going to step on a few toes. Hopefully, I will be able to make up with them at some point in the future and I will make some new friends.
