Young Mum Takes An Exam While In Labour And She Came Out In Flying Colours

The pain of labour can make a woman do the most unexpected thing just to be relieved. But we were shocked when we saw how Nayzia Thomas coped with her labour pains.

A college sophomore student, Nayzia stayed in school until she was 39 weeks pregnant with the determination to finish her final exams before her baby came.

Unexpectedly, she went into labour before the scheduled date but Nayzia on a hospital bed, focused on her laptop made sure she finished an assignment that could have been put on hold and retaken.

“[I thought] ‘before all this gets crazy let me hurry up and finish this final,’” she said. Shortly after that, she welcomed her son, Anthony Johnson.

Nayzia was working three jobs and going to summer classes when she found out she was pregnant.

“School is so important to me. I didn’t want the pregnancy to be in the way. That’s what people expect. You’re a teen mom, you’re a young mother. That’s why my mom took that picture. It shows I follow through.”
