Lizzy Anjorin Was a Christian But Now She Is a Muslim without Regrets, Here Is Why

When Nollywood actress, Lizzy Anjorin converted to Islam, nobody knew the reasons even though some speculated it was because of a man, which she denied.

Finally, the actress has opened up on her conversion.

In four Instagram posts, Lizzy explained that her mother was born into a Muslim family, but because of the churches they slept when they were going through hard times, they automatically became Christians. In fact, her mother still attended church before she passed on.

So, when her mother died, she requested that the pastors of the churches she attended should bury her that night because her mother had warned that she didn’t want to be kept in a mortuary.

But all the pastors denied her mother, saying she wasn’t a member of their church.

“So, please call me Mama Pastor. They called almost 10 Pastors, once they look at Mama’s face. She is not our member. I was mad at everything and it almost turned into riot. Someone confronted one of the Pastor.  You are a bad person. You are always fond of collecting all the money her daughter used to send to Mama. Someone took me to 3 Churches that night, they all said she can’t be buried in their cemetery because she  is not a member of their church,” she said.

Lizzy explained that it was a Muslim cleric that prayed for her mother before she was buried. She was also surrounded by Muslim brethren who consoled and prayed with her.

Although she loves the Christian brethren, the experience she had with them during the burial of her mother is really heartbreaking for her.

The pastor of the churches she attended, that’s to say she is not a committed member of a particular church and probably her mother wasn’t a Christian either, enjoy your self in whatever religion you find yourself please and stop distracting us enough is going on in this country that we have to worry about

I don’t doubt her stories cos my sister died in August last year, they attend lords choosen and even conduct their home fellowship in my sisters sitting room, so when she died, the church told the husband that they don’t know her, so what went wrong?

Ivy Fortune….it happened to my boss too her husband attended d same church (Lord’s Chosen) and dey refused burying him saying his children and wife are not dia members…but it never stopped my Boss from serving God… Instead she took her mode of worshiping God to another level…. So Lizzy’s mother that died why dint her own church come to bury her? Why is it that her daughter’s church is where they had to go to… Wat happened to her own church …. The truth is the mother wasn’t really a Christian…so she should not also forget to go to traditional worshippers and become a member too cos. My Mum attended a language church and my dat attended english church in DLBC but my dad’s church (english church) dint render a helping hand wen my mum died because of a silly reason… But my dad is still a devoted member of DLBC so why dint he turn to a Muslim too…. The thing is Lizzy and are mother aren’t Christians But church goers.

If her mum was a devoted Christian her church would have burried and if Lizzy herself is a devoted Christian, her own church also would have considered and Burry her mum. I know a lot of people, when asked their faith, they tell u they are Christian, meanwhile they attend church service occasionally, God is not deceived, He knows those who are His. My own parents died when I had nothing, by the grace of God they were devoted Christians and the church took over everything. Even when they heard of news of their death, our house was flooded with members trooping in and out. So if one claim to be a xhristian, ensure u properly identify yourself with the church organisarion you belong to. Attend meetings, visits, burials and so on. If u are not know in any group in the church , u don’t attend any meetings, u don’t even partake in visits, how will the church know u as a member. Madam lizy now that u are a xhristian , pls remain there and stop jumping up and down and giving unneccessary excusses.

May her mum soul. Rest in peace but from her story I read her mum was never committed to any church… There is a different of been a committed church member and a church goer, that is why is good to be committed in a church. Does church have cemeteries cos her story was some how, all she would have done is buy a space and call the pastor… She converted because she want to and she was never a Christain

But who are we to judge who was committed to God and who wasn’t? So much so that she was denied at death? Does it remove something from a church if she died a non member and is buried there? We need to treat one another as humanely as possible and stop hiding our wickedness and intolerance behind religion.
