How Waje Approached The Sex Talk With Her Teenage Daughter

Sex education is one of the difficult topics for mothers to discuss with their teenage children and for singer, Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, it is not different.

In a chat with Oscar Oyinsan on Rubbin Minds, the singer revealed that when she was going to give her daughter the pep talk, she had to involve her friend, Omawunmi.

“I think initially when she was much younger, I found it a little difficult to discuss things like that with her. Being a woman…. I had to involve my friend Omawunmi, because I remember the first time she became a ‘woman,’ I cried so much that day.”

Waje believes being a single mom doesn’t make a woman less of a mum or that there is something wrong with her, she just thinks that every single mom needs to own that status.

“ You have to make certain choices, like when you are dating, its not everybody you bring to your house. I don’t do that at all until I know that it’s a relationship that is worth introducing her to.”
