Towing in the footsteps of some African celebrities who helped kids from financially challenged communities to see the movie, Black Panther, the 2017 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Ugochi Ihezue has done the same.
Black Panther is the first African superhero movie with an all black cast. Set in a fictional country called Wakanda, the citizens use vibranium to develop advanced technology but isolated themselves from the world by posing as a Third World country.
In this movie, Wakanda has powerful men who understand the benefit of working with powerful women, who are beautiful, smart and agile. There, the best warrior is a woman and has a troop of other women warriors working with her.
The movie also portrayed women in important places like politics, sciences and other areas. Portraying Africa in a positive light, critics consider the movie as one of the best, noting its cultural significance.
As powerful and inspiring as the movie is, it is pitiful that some people, especially students would not be able to see it as they may not have enough money to do so.
In view of this, Ugochi decided to give some children from Makoko, a slum in Lagos, the opportunity to see this movie and be inspired by it.
