How A Game Of ‘Truth Or Dare’ Helped A 10-Year Old Girl To Expose Her Abuser

   

A game of ‘truth or dare’ helped a 10-year old girl, who has been going through sexual abuse for over a year to expose her abuser.

The girl was playing the game with her friends in school when they asked themselves to tell if any man had had sex with them. She kept quiet, but her silence drew the attention of the counselor, who asked her what the problem was.

The victim opened up to her on how their neighbor,a 30-year-old Adigun, had been having sexually abusing  her for over a year. She was referred to Mirabel Medical Centre at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja for medical test.

Adigun, who is perceived as an easy going person reportedly used to drag the girl into his apartment whenever she was going to mosque to pray about 6a.m.

She told her mother, but the mother couldn’t believe that such a thing could be happening. Adigun’s sister is a close friend to the victim’s mother.
