Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie will be interviewing Hillary Rodham Clinton, about her career in politics in April
This interview will happen at the PEN AMERICA WORLD FESTIVAL, after Hillary has delivered the Arther Miller Freedom to Write lecture.
PEN World Voices is America’s premier international literary festival, attracting the best known writers from across the globe. The festival was founded with the aim of broadening channels of dialogue between the United States and the world.
According to PEN World website, Hillary will draw on her time as the nation’s top diplomat and her career in politics to underline the centrality of free speech — broadly defined and vociferously defended — in sustaining healthy democracies and vibrant societies.
On the conversation between Chimamanda and Hillary,
“This dialogue between two strong advocates for women and girls—one from politics and diplomacy, the other from world literature—promises unique insights into how we might imagine a better future for women and girls around the world.”
