We Are More Than Ready For Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira’s Adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s ‘Americanah’ for TV

Lupita Nyong’o will be producing Chimamanda Adichie’s book, Americanah, into a TV mini-series.

The novel, Americanah, is about two young Nigerian immigrants, Ifemelu and Obinze, who face a lifetime of struggle while their love story endures.

Lupita acquired the rights to the book four years ago but nothing was heard about it except that she said she would be making it into a movie.

The project is now expected to kick off this year as a new writer, Danai Gurira, an American actress and playwright, has come onboard.

Lupita revealed that she will be playing the lead role, Ifemelu and both she and Danai will be the executive producers.

Also, that the book was written by acclaimed novelist, Chimamanda Adichie makes it a must watch.
