A Mother’s ‘Holiday Screen Time Rules’ For Her Son Is Going Viral For The Right Reasons

It is almost time for children to go on holidays and a Nigerian mum, Samiah Oyekan-Ahmed has already hatched a plan to ‘preserve her sanity.’

Samiah’s plan, which has now gone viral, is intended to prevent her son from getting addicted to video games and tablets during the holiday. Instead, she listed alternative ways her son can engage himself.

The mother of two wrote a binding document for her son to sign ahead of the holiday period. The document contains a list of rules which regulates TV time, game time, kitchen time, as well as the amount of snacks he is allowed to have each day.

The document also listed the conditions that have to be met before enjoying the holiday benefits and consequences to be faced if the rules are broken.
