Kemi Adetiba Speaks Her Truth on Praying and Taking Action through Difficult Situations

“Nigeria doesn’t need prayers. Finland is a country where 98% of their citizens don’t believe in God but they live the best kind of life we pray for. Dear Nigerians, take responsibility for once,” a social media user wrote.

From the killings in Plateau state to the tank explosion that happened in Lagos, claiming many lives and properties, another tanker explosion on Suleja-Minna road and many other incidences that were not recorded, Nigeria has suffered many losses this month.

This has made people call on each other to pray for the country as it was very obvious that things were not going well. But not many people agree on praying as they argue that the country’s problem is not in prayers.

According to them, Nigerians have been praying for years and nothing has changed. They argue that the citizens need to act and demand accountability from the government rather than resort to prayer when avoidable tragedies happen.

However, film director, Kemi Adetiba is of the opinion that praying and acting should be encouraged rather than emphasizing on just acting.

I believe so much in prayer but faith alone without work is dead.
