Nguveren Ahua Is Using Her Lens to Make Sure We Never Forget the Travails of the Internally Displaced Persons in Makurdi


The clashes between fulani herdsmen and farmers from Benue state has claimed so many lives and dislodged many others from their homes. Nigerian photographer, Nguveren Ahua  is giving us a peek into the lives of these persons through a photo series and documentary titled, ‘Like Ashes’.

“Like Ashes was created out of a desire to shine a light on the ongoing crisis in Benue from the perspective of those who fled their homes into uncertain safety,” she wrote on her Instagram page.
