Moyinoluwa Oluwaseun is a 7-year old professional photographer, whose business, Ariyike Photography caters to all kinds of events.
Growing up, Moyinoluwa had a toy camera she was so attached to. So, when she clocked 3, her grandmother, who is also a photographer, gave Moyinoluwa her old camera. Photography is Moyinoluwa’s family business as her father is also a photographer, with Moyinoluwa being the 3rd generation on the line.
“I started taking pictures when I was 4 but I started using the camera when I was 2,” she told BBCNewsPidgin.
On her 5th birthday, Moyinoluwa got a professional camera from her dad, while training under him. She partners with her dad’s company for the editing, packaging and delivery of her work.
Her first client saw her work on Instagram and called her. Meanwhile, at the initial stage of her career, Moyinoluwa was always pushed aside by ushers and organizers at events because they saw her as an obstruction to the event flow.
Moyinoluwa’s dream is to build a world-class photography studio with her four year-old sister, who is her assistant. Her business does not affect her school activities since she does only weekend jobs.
