Following the rescue of two siblings kidnapped by their nanny last week Monday, the Lagos State Police Command is warning parents to be careful of who they allow into their homes in the name of domestic helps.
The nanny, Busayo was instructed by her boss to pick the children from school and take them home, but the house help abducted the children.
The two children were later found in a location near the Seme Border in Benin Republic in the early hours of Sunday.
Punch reported that Busayo, who was employed about eight days before the incidence, was a member of a kidnap syndicate, who gave her out as a domestic help to parents oblivious of the harm ahead.
According to the Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, warned households interested in engaging the services of domestic helps carry out thorough background checks on persons they were bringing to their homes and profile them in order to make investigation easy for the police should the need arose.
