With the amount of films being produced every year, we are glad to have some that are addressing societal ills in the country and it gives us a great feeling to know that women are at the forefront of this production.

With the fast-approaching elections, Lala Akindoju’s new movie, 4th Republic comes at just the right time as it portrays the violence that takes place at every election.

In the just-released teaser, 4th Republic follows a gubernatorial candidate, Mabel King, (played by Kate Henshaw) who is gearing for the elections but she finds herself battling with nightmares of violence and political thuggery.

We really can’t wait to see this one as we pray and hope that the upcoming election will be peaceful.
