For asking what Toke Makinwa does for a living, this twitter user, Temitope Olowu was tackled by some women who found her question offensive.

Tope had seen two Jimmy Choo shoes Toke posted on her Instastory a few days ago and each of the shoes cost £975, which is N450, 000 in Naira equivalent. Sad at the narrative of the “hard working single woman she paints”, Tope decided to ask how she is able to afford her luxurious lifestyle.

Many women who responded to her tweet criticized her, especially for the narrative Tope said she wanted to drive.

I think its high time Nigerians should come to terms, believe and accept that a lady has the right to spend her money on what she pleases, desires and wants without questions just like the men folk. I mean, she’s not answerable to anyone not paying her bills and even if anyone pays her bills, what she does with her life and money is strictly her business and not anyone’s.

Why are Nigerians like this? Always poke nosing in people’s life and affairs. Allow people spend their money d way they deemed fit. They don’t own anyone an explanation as to how they make their money and how they spend it too. Let people be.
