She went from being in the US army reserve, to becoming one of YouTube’s top influencers using her platform to review beauty products and advocating for representation and diversity of African-Americans in the cosmetic industry.
She has been awarded by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People for her efforts to help people of color feel included in the beauty community. In 2018, she was named the Influencer of the Year by Women’s Wear Daily.
UK-based Patricia has over two million subscribers on her YouTube channel and over 900, 000 followers on Instagram. She also posts reviews of products and also creates contents that is relatable to people’s personal life using her experiences.
She recently launched her own lipstick “Boss Babe” in collaboration with Mac Cosmetics and just added ‘Author’ to her name, as she is set to release her book, Heart and Hustle.
Popularly known as Peakmill, Khadijat is a hairstyling and wig making guru. With over one million subscribers on YouTube and over 600, 000 followers on Instagram, Khadijat’s desire to be creative has led to the creation of her numerous inspirational hairstyles.
US-based Nigerian, Shalom Nchom, popularly known as Shalom Blac is a beauty vlogger. With over one million subscribers on YouTube and over 600, 000 followers on Instagram, Shalom uses her platform to inspire women to look beyond the outward beauty. As a burn survivor, Shalom makes her followers understand that makeup cannot cover the inward scars even if it covers the outwards scars. She also urges people to be more compassionate towards others.
