“Men, if you see any indecently dressed lady, kindly rape her”, a Nigerian photographer, Arinze Onyisi posted online.
In his Instastories, he begged men to rape women whose mode of dressing they consider indecent and also demanded that they do it “raw”.
“So, girls dress almost naked to malls and public places and you say they should not rape you….. Vex all you want. Men, if you see any indecently dressed lady, kindly rape her. condom on me. in fact, do raw. Anything she see make she take. The only mad people I know are women that dress naked in the name of fashion. That’s unacceptable. And since you as a woman have decided to be mad, indecent men will mad and join you…. issa mad world”, his posts read.
Even though people condemned his post, Arinze didn’t back down as he defended his post by sharing the comment of a female follower, who asked what women who wear provocative dresses to public places wants to achieve.
However, while some were chastising his foolishness, some people have gone ahead to take an action against him.
Actress, Michelle Dede, who is also an advocate against sexual abuse, did not only educate Arinze on the evils of rape, his case has also been reported to the Lagos State Domestic Violence Response Team.

Dear @arinzeonyisi I use the term Dear very sarcastically in this caption. I'm not someone who ousts people on insta when they rip me off or upset me. However, as someone who advocates against sexual abuse, your case is unacceptable! Someone posted your what's app stories in their insta stories & it circulated, till I was tagged a short while ago. My initial reaction was to call someone so I could get you arrested. Instead, I've decided to attempt to educate you, in the hope that this form of public RE-education will be a permanent deterrent to you & a reminder that many now know who you are.1. Rape Is Not And Will Never Be Acceptable! 2. I don't know how old you are, nor do I care, because from your posts I can only conclude that You Lack The Emotional And Mental Intellect to know that Rape Is Wrong, if you did you would never have posted what you did. 3. There are black & white areas when it comes to many things in life, but not in the case of rape! 4. Rape Is A Crime. Forcing someone to have sex against their will is an offence. 5. Following the recent arrests of the two men who raped/video taped the rape of a woman in a hotel room & ARE NOW BOTH IN POLICE CUSTODY, only a fool would type, share what you did via any form of social media. 6. Read 1-5 again, then ask yourself slowly Am I Arinze A Fool? 7.There are orgs like @standtoendrape @mirabelcentreng @dsvrt @cece_yara @projectalertvawng @warif_ng @nomore234ng who devote their time to help survivors, victims parents get justice from abusers, they & other orgs/individuals have successfully gotten rapists convicted. Hundreds of women, girls & boys lives are ruined after they have been abused. Many do not survive, many go on to battle years of emotional & mental trauma as a result of rape, yet you post about it as a joke! I fear for the women and models you work with now!.8.There Is Nothing Funny About Rape! 9. A woman wearing a short skirt doesn't cause rape! Neither does a woman covered in a hijab who gets raped, nor does a two month old baby or a ten year old boy! 10. Rape Is Caused By Rapists.11. Let me also remind you of what usually happens to convicted rapists, they (continued in comments section )

Good morning I wanted to give an update regarding my previous post. @mirabelcentreng informed me that @arinzeonyisi has been reported to @dsvrt Lagos state Domestic & Sexual Violence Response Team. I also want to thank those of you who reposted my post on your insta stories and handles. I tagged many of you because you are either advocates against rape or have a large following. Collectively our voices will be heard even louder, this will hopefully dissuade other rape sympathisers who express their dangerous and toxic views that leave us angry/ appalled and more importantly leave survivors of sexual abuse feeling like they are reliving their abuse all over again. I know many of you expressed a lot of outrage in my comments section and your anger is valid! My intent was to re-educate him and deter others who think as he does, and although I was angry, I choose not to attack him in the way some did. I have deleted some extremely abusive comments that were made towards him as I Do Not Believe That Cyber Bullying Is Justified, Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right. What I feel we should continue to do, is expose abusers, paedophiles and rape sympathisers, Speak up for victims families and survivors of all sexual abuse. Protect Survivors and Believe Them, Don't Shame Them or make fun of rape. Rape culture is overly prevalent in Nigeria and in Africa at large. It is unacceptable! Rape Is No Joke! #EndRapeCulture #SayNoToRape #NoMeansNo
